Midis and Chinese MP3s Section. Again, I've included, in this page, informations about mp3s..... Take a look if you very boliaoz and trying to find things to kill time. But me bo pian. Coz I want this site to be as extensive as possible lor. Anyway you can don't read on if you want. So are u ready? MPEG layer 3 is a type of
audio codec where processed by significant compression from the original audio source with
very little loss in sound quality. The compression up to 12:1 produces a very little
degradation. Tighter compression can be achieved, but it will effect in sound degradation
results. Step 1 The first step is to make a WAV file of the music you want to convert into MP3. There are also programs available that can make MP3's while reading it from CD but with the current CPU's available this is not possible in high quality. So we need to make a WAV file of the music that we convert into a MP3 in the next steps. There are two ways to
make WAV files of your music. The first method is a very bad method because you get noise from your soundcard into the WAV file. The second method is the only one that is acceptable when you are going to trade your home-made MP3 filez. So how do you rip music directly from CD? Well there are quite a few programs that can help you with this. We will explain of the most popular ones how to use them. NOTE 1 : You may experience difficulties if you try to run these programs in a multitasking environment such as OS/2, Win95 or WinNT. If you have trouble in one of these environments, then exit to DOS and try again. In Win95, this means selecting 'Shut Down' then 'Restart to MS-DOS mode'. NOTE 2 : CD-ROM caching software will usually screw up the drives' ability to raw read digital audio. If you're using a disk cache (this includes SMARTDRV included with MS-DOS and Windows) then disable it before trying to read CD-DA. NOTE 3 : Make sure you have enough harddisk space to save the WAV files. You must have about 10mb free for every minute (!!) of music that you want to rip from CD. So for the average song of 4 minutes you need 40mb of free harddisk space. Step 2 So that's all for me preaching..... |
